A new course looking at cinema’s contribution to the punk era gets underway at Quad next week.
Running between 25 January and 15 February the God Save The Screen: Punk At The Pictures course – led by Darrell Buxton – will look at how anarchy played out on the big screen during punk’s defining era. The course includes “Don Letts’ raw footage, Julien Temple’s elegies to the era, candid biopics (Ian Dury, Ian Curtis, Runaways) and savage live performances…the Sex Pistols, The Clash, Ramones, and other punk pioneers on film.”
It will conclude with a screening of a punk cinema classic.
Costing £40 full price, £37.50 concessions or £35 for QUAD members you can book your place through the QUAD website.
