New track from SeiSui

After tipping them in our new local bands to watch for 2017, and raving over their first track we were pleased to hear a new one drop from SeiSui yesterday (5 February).

Latest track Lerina takes the nugaze stretch of layered guitars and adds in early-MBV / Sloan style screeching but the spoken word of the debut has given way to more conventional discordant boy/girl vocals. Clearly fans of mystery – they are still going by the names Marlowe and Decca – the track is preceded on Bandcamp by a paragraph explaining who the Lerina of the title is.

This track, full of off-kilter early ’90s inspired melody, comes a month after their initial release and appearance on the Derby scene so we wonder if this sets a schedule by which we can expect more new music from them.
