Emily White has shared a new video for track Brother, filmed in the live space at Dubrek Studios.
The black and white video, shot by Silentwood Films, shows White playing piano and singing the original material in the studio space in Dubrek, which has already hosted gigs by a-toto-so, and Biscuit Mouth and Crime Wolf.
It follows recent EP, Colourblind, released last year – a collection with a distinctly Carpenters vibe and without being cliched, those smokey jazz tones. While it may evoke classic songwriters from the last 40 years it also has resonance with the modern ballads of Kathryn Williams.
Citing influences from Carol King to Jamie Cullum this is classic songwriting, jazz-infused vocals with subtle melody beneath.
The Colourblind EP is out now on Spotify and iTunes.
