QUAD goes pop with new programme of film and DJ nights

QUAD is kicking off a series of music related films and DJ event nights with a screening of Desperately Seeking Susan on Friday 24 February 2017. The film was Madonna‘s first major film role and around the showing a DJ will be playing her hits in the cafe bar.

The March showing is of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, the concert film of the night Bowie announced the demise of that persona and heralded in a new creative era in his long career. It will be accompanied by a new documentary featuring MOJO Editor-In-Chief Phil Alexander in conversation with Woody Woodmansey, drummer in Spider From Mars. Ahead of the screening on 7 March there will be a best of Bowie set by a DJ in the cafe bar.

A new course focused on the music and art of Bowie will begin on 29 March for five Wednesdays, led by Darrell Buxton.

The programme concludes on 21 April when it will be Prince night – a showing of Purple Rain followed by Prince jukebox night.

More information on all the event nights and course can be found on QUAD‘s website.
