After a successful and vibrant event in the Cathedral Quarter this week Derby’s Furthest From The Sea has announced it will return on 16 June 2018.
The festival, which features homegrown art, performance, comedy and music, recently won funding through Arts Council England and is CIC set up to support the vibrant and varied Derbyshire arts scene.
This year’s event, which took place on Saturday 17 June 2017, featured performances from emerging and established artists as well as workshops, treasure trails, singing and dancing. And while the organisation’s name may reflect the county’s land-locked status they bought the high seas to the Market Place with a pirate theme to the festival.
