Derby band The Third Round has announced it will return for an end-of-year show to play their self-titled 2014 album in full.
The band will play through their only album at a special gig to be held at The Bless, along with an indie disco from DJK and a set from drummer Micky Sheehan in the main room later in the night.
With strong indie rock influences the band showed promise with this debut release, as described on Louder Than War as including influences from The Stone Roses to Depeche Mode.
They said: “Judged too hastily The Third Round may find themselves lumped in with all sorts of average, unambitious indie rock but for those who stick with the jangling riffs for a second or third spin there is the reward of sharp-tongued poetry and sweetly sung anger.”
The gig is free entry and takes place on 27 December 2017 – more details here.
