Y Not Festival returns to the fields around Pikehall in Derbyshire, this weekend, 27-30 July 2017.
Bringing a selection of touring indie and rock acts to the county the festival is now in its eleventh year, having begun in 2006 with around 500 people on a quarry site. Now held at Pikehall this year will see Y Not headlined by The Vaccines, Stereophonics and Two Door Cinema Club, with a performance by Feeder on the early-entry opening on Thursday night.
Run by the same team who began the festival and tickets have been sold out for the last two months.
The festival follows the current vogue for focusing on male-dominated line ups with few female artists appearing at the top of the bill. There’s plenty of highlight across the weekend with Kagoule, Kate Nash, Muncie Girls, Menace Beach, Cherry Hex and The Dream Church, Autumn Diet Plans, Jaws, Cabbage and Tigercub all playing.
Local bands including These Wicked Rivers, The Herron Brothers, Scribble Victory, Sunflower Thieves, Imbue, Arc Isla, Liam Walker and The Nevison Gang, Panama Scots, Black Cats Magpies, Yakobo and Kezia Gill will all play the festival.
Furthest From The Sea and Creative Intentions are supporting original musicians from Derbyshire and the East Midlands at the festival with the performances from Juneau among others.
