Derby Folk Festival announces 2017 line-up

Derby Folk Festival 2017The Derby Folk Festival, which takes place in the Cathedral Quarter between 6 and 8 October 2017, has announced its full line-up.

The eleventh Derby Folk Festival will see performances in the Guildhall, Derby Cathedral, Old Bell Hotel, Club Rooms, and the City Marquee across the weekend. Headliners Bob Fox, Oysterband, and Show Of Hands will be joined by a host of bands across the three days, as well as fringe events run by Furthest From The Sea.

Alongside the main performances will be a craft market, Sinfonia Viva playing Folk Reflections, storytelling pieces, and a flashmob ceilidh.

There will also be dance performances curated by Folk 3D and while most of the weekend is ticketed, some events including these displays and the Furthest From The Sea fringe events, are available free of charge in the Market Place and Old Bell Ballroom.
