Pet Crow rise up UK Singles Chart with Too Pure release

Pet Crow have risen up the UK Official Physical Singles Chart with current 7″ Scrape Yourself Off The Floor, released through Too Pure Singles Club.

The track, which is a double-A release with How Are You Wired? hit a peak of 58 on their second week of release, having entered at number 80.

They follow Unqualified Nurse Band into the charts after they hit a high of 74 with their Too Pure release Death Surf A52 / White Dove on release in April. Both bands have previously made debut album releases with Derby-based label Reckless Yes.

Pet Crow are enjoying critical acclaim for their latest release, as they did their album, with plaudits from specialist vinyl publications too. The band have also been played on Marc Riley’s 6Music show – a fast trajectory for a band which only formed last year and for which this is a third release following EP Pet Soundz, and album A Simple Guide To Small And Medium Pond Life. The band are also shortlisted in this year’s Her’Cury Music Award, an alternative to the Mercury Music Prize, the winner of which will be announced next week.

You can order the single through Too Pure and pick up a copy of the album from Dubrek, Black Rebel Coffee Shop (upstairs at Hairy Dog), or from the band’s Bandcamp page.
