Furthest From The Sea launches Little Ed – Free Fringe Festival

Furthest From The Sea has launched Little Ed – a free comedy and variety fringe festival which will take place at venues around the Cathedral Quarter between 19 and 22 April 2018.

It aims to bring a taste of the Edinburgh Fringe festival to the city and organiser’s say they will, “bring new unexpected and unconventional performers and shows to Derby either en route to Edinburgh 2018 or not .This year we will be promoting positive mental health and wellbeing and social inclusion as an integral part of the festival.”

They are now looking for work in progress shows and preview performances of 15-60 minutes length which can be performed at the festival. Organiser’s say that all types of comedy and variety are welcome, adding, “the more unique and unconventional the better!”

There are no fees to appear at the festival, free fringe events will work on a pay what you feel basis, and any ticketed events will work on a box office split of 70/30 in favour of the artist(s). For more information or to register your interest please contact dan@furthestfromthesea.co.uk before Friday 9 February 2018.
