Derby Book Festival has announced it will return in 2018, and is set to run between 1 and 9 June.
The announcement comes following a successful festival this year, bringing together residents in a love of books and aiming to inspire a new generation of readers. The 2017 event included appearances from internationally acclaimed and best-selling authors such as Sebastian Faulks, Louise Doughty, Jenny Eclair and Stephen Booth.
Founded in 2014 by book lovers Jenny Denton and Sian Hoyle the first Festival was held in 2015 and featured authors Michael Morpurgo, Sarah Waters, David Nicholls, Simon Armitage, Penelope Lively, James Naughtie.
The line up and events are yet to be confirmed for next year’s Festival but in recent years it has included a Flash Fiction prize, book fair, workshops and events with partners including Derby Museums and QUAD Derby.
