Derby punk band The Ruins has released a new track and video, One Foot In The Grave.
It’s the first new music in 2018 from the band and follows single Cracks, released last November, plus a set of demos shared earlier last year and album Machines in 2016. One Foot In The Grave is a melodically mellower track recorded live and mixed at the studio and dealing lyrically with drug taking. A new album is slated for later this year from the band.
As well as the release of the album band member Jonny Vincent also published a book in 2016, a memoir of growing up punk in Derby and forming a band mid-life. Gotta Getaway is available to order here.
